On the 8th of June a farewell service was held in the Evangelical church in Rastislavovce dedicated to deceased emeritus bishop Ján Antal. The Bishop of Western District Milan Krivda served the sermon with an associate pastor Ivan Eľko. To pay their respect to the emeritus bishop J. Antal on behalf of ECAC in Slovakia came the General Supervisor P. Delinga and General Bishop M. Klátik, who blessed the deceased over his grave.

The board of ECAC in Slovakia made a statement based on the complaints of fellow church members who had the chance to watch the movie “Bathory”from Juraj Jakubisko over the Easter. The board detests the way certain characters (of historical importance to the evangelic church) were portrayed; in the first place palatine Juraj Thurzo.

On April 7, 2010, the last farewell to pastor Petra Roller took place in Ulm, which was attended by General Bishop Miloš Klátik and his wife Oľga as well as the chairperson of the Association of Evangelical Pastors, Jaroslav Matys. Petra Rollerová, a longstanding pastor in the church in Ulme-Böfingene, died after a long and trying illness at age 50. President of the Slovak Republic, Ivan Gašparovič, accepted the general secretary of the Lutheran World Federation Ishmael Noko on the occasion of the Pre-assembly talks of LWF for Europe (more in the section General Assembly LWF) on March 17, 2010.
