On 8./9.7.2011 the final event of the Decade to Overcome Violence was held in the EKM in the meeting house "Rittergut" in Lützensömmern under the motto "... wanting hope". The ECAC in Slovakia was represented by: Erika Valko-Krišťáková, pastor for students at the Evangelical Theological Faculty in Bratislava and Marcela Kmeťová, secretary of foreign affairs at the Office of the General Bishop of ECAC in Slovakia.
Lutheran world federation has restructulized its committees in order to raise efficiency of its work, thus creating four new committees. The new committees include: Theology and Ecumenical Relations, Holistic Mission and Member Church Relations, World Service, Advocacy and Public Voice.

At the end of the week on 24 - 25 June 2011 in Teplice Trenčianske the Synod of the Evangelical Church of AC in Slovakia took place.
At the Ministry of Culture of the SR on 21 June the General Bishop Brother Miloš Klátik informed 2011 the Minister of Education Daniel Krajcer about the future activities of our church and invited him to the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Michal Miloslav Hodža that will take place in Mošovce and Raksa.

From 17 to 25 May 2011, the International Ecumenical Peace Convocation, which ended the series of meetings in the framework of the Decade to Overcome Violence, was held in Kingston, Jamaica. Attending were representatives of several churches including the General Bishop of the ECAC in Slovakia Miloš Klátik.
On the occasion of the 200th Anniversary of the inauguration of the evangelical church in Deák tér in Budapest on 12 June 2011, the memorial to the Slovak poet, educator and philosopher, Ján Kollár has been revealed.
At the 33rd Kirchentag (Curch days) 2011 in Dresden from 1st to 5th June appeared more representatives from Slovakia.
