From 3th to 5th of November 11 meeting of General Synod of VELKD took place in Magdeburg, Germany. The theme topic was „Encounter with the Other – Risk of Mission“. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Slovakia was represented by General Bishop Miloš Klátik.
On Friday before the meeting an election of Senior Bishop of VELKD took place. The installation of the newly elected Bishop Gerhard Ulrich took place in the Church of St. Gertraud.
Among other items of discussion of the Synod were among others Report of the Senior Bishop, Report of Church Leadership, Financial Statement for the year 2010 and so on.
