The Congregation of Slovak Lutherans in Prague was left without pastor after the former pastor Dusan Tillinger moved to Canada. On 5th of February 2012 a new pastor – Marian Cop has been installed into the position of the pastor for this congregation.
Installation was carried out by the General Bishop of ECAC in Slovakia – Milos Klatik. He gave a sermon based on the text from 1 Chronicles 28:20: “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.” Representatives of ECAC in Slovakia met with representives of ECAC in Czech Republik on Saturday evening. Both sides have expressed interest in establishment of agreement about pastoral exchange between our churches.
