Bishop from the United States visited Slovakia

On Thursday, the 12th July 2012 Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Missouri Synod, Rev. Dr. David Holly visited Slovakia. He was accompanied by the pastor Rev. Dusan Toth and Rev. Dušan Tillinger.
The honored guest was first received at the General Office in Bratislava by the Bishop Milan Krivda on behalf of the ECAC in Slovakia. He then continued his visit with a tour of the community center and the church in Topoľčany. They carried on to visit Ilava and Koseca. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Missouri Synod has (The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod) 35 districts and 2.5 million members. The Slovaks are mainly from SELC, which was originally called independent Slovak Synod. Both churches are not geographically limited and are thus find themselves in many U.S. states and in Canada. The Lutheran Church of the Missouri Synod has more than 800 congregations in the United States and Canada and works with Protestant churches across the world.
