The funeral of the last Czechoslovak president, politician, thinker, and artist, Vaclav Havel took place on 23rd of December 2011 in St. Vitus Cathedral in Hradčany, Prague. The General Bishop of ECAC in Slovakia and chairman of Ecumenical Council of Churches in SR, Miloš Klátik, came to pay his respects to the former president.
Between 21st and 24th of 2011 a training conference for the lutheran chaplains took place in Liptovský Hrádok.
Many of us have no idea how many rare items there are in the archive of ECAC in Slovakia that is situated in Bratislava: various archive documents and historical manuscripts.

On the third Sunday before the end of the Church year, the inhabitants of Michalovce commemorated 2nd anniversary of consecration of their church. The congregation also rejoiced as they have consecrated their new pipe organ on this occasion. After the service brother General Bishop planted the 15th tree of reformation.
Thanks to the suggestion of the General Bishop's Office of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Slovakia a meeting took place on 25th of November 2011 in Budapest. The aim of this meeting was to prepare a partnership contract between ECAC in Slovakia and ECAC in Hungary.
Gathering of Lutheran Women took place on the last sunday of church year in Abovce at the local mansion. The guests were welcomed by supervisor Michal Hruska and the chair of VMV Martin Riecky.
Brother General Bishop Klatik has met with the bishop of western district of the Evangelical Church of Augsburg Confession in Hungary – Janos Szemerei.
Congregation in Mala Calomija has experienced a joyful celebration on 11th of November 2011. There was more than one reason to celebrate: 125th celebration of the first consecration of the local church and consecration of the now reconstructed church, as well as, visit of General Bishop Klatik.
Exposition – Life and Work of I. Madach can be viewed at evangelical vicarage in Dolna Strehova. The vicarage is located right next to Madach palace as the palace is currently being renovated.
